For any serious situation involving harm or injury to yourself or others, dial 111 for an ambulance. If you are concerned about your immediate safety, or if you feel someone else's safety is in danger, dial 111 and ask for the police.

Alternatively, you can go to a public hospital emergency department where there are doctors, nurses and social workers 24 hours a day.

 

Another option is for you to contact your nearest General Practitioner (GP). If you speak to your doctor’s surgery and your doctor is unavailable, explain that your situation is urgent and ask for guidance about how to access immediate assistance. If your doctor’s surgery is closed, follow your treating clinician’s instructions for accessing emergency treatment (e.g. after hours GP Clinic).
